Rejchartice lies in the valley of the Kamenec stream, 11 km north-east of Šumperk. The village is on the road from Rapotín to Kopřivná.

The first written mention of Rejchartice dates from 1350 and is connected with the church and parish of that time. The Baroque Church of St Michael, built between 1768 and 1770, stands within the cemetery grounds and is a protected cultural monument. A multifunctional cultural centre operates in the former Adolf Langer inn building, and the village also has a municipal library. The traditional St Michael's pilgrimage has been revived and is held every year.
