Flower delivery to Sudkov from a florist in Šumperk

Sudkov lies on the lower reaches of the Desná, about 7 km south of Šumperk. The Desná joins the Morava about a kilometre downstream of the village. A concrete road bridge dating from 1922 crosses the Desná in Sudkov.

The first written record of Sudkov appears in the land registers in 1353, and the village’s name probably comes from the Old Czech name Sudislav. After a mechanical spinning mill was founded in 1864, agricultural Sudkov became an industrial municipality. The chapel dedicated to St Procopius was built in 1795. The Czech Brethren Evangelical prayer house with a tower was built in 1937. The village has a primary school and a kindergarten, both founded by the municipality.
